About this Visa

This visa lets you move to Argentina to live with a family member who is already there. You can apply if your spouse, child, or parent is an Argentine citizen or permanent resident. Once approved, you get temporary legal status to stay and work in Argentina. You can renew after 3 years and eventually become a permanent resident. Unlike work or investment visas, you don't need money, a job offer, or special skills. You just need a family member already living in Argentina.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be spouse, child, or parent of Argentine citizen or permanent resident
  • Must have valid passport with 6 months remaining
  • Must have no serious criminal record
  • Must be 16 or older to provide police record
  • Must be able to prove family relationship
  • Must pass in-person consular interview
  • Cannot have criminal convictions
  • Cannot have been deported from Argentina or other countries
  • Cannot have lied on previous visa applications
