About this Visa

The Red-White-Red Card lets you start and run your own business in Austria. It's for people from outside the EU who want to be self-employed and create jobs. You can work as your own boss, run a company, and control your business. After 2 years, you can get permanent residency. Your family can come with you. It's easier to get than other work visas. You don't need a language test. Austria accepts people from every country—no countries are banned. If your business creates jobs or brings investment to Austria, you qualify.
