About this Visa
The Student Mobility residence permit is for international students joining a specific exchange program in Austria. You need this permit if you are part of an EU program like Erasmus+ or a direct partnership between your university and an Austrian one. It lets you live and study in Austria for more than six months. This permit is different from a regular student visa because it is faster and has specific rules. You cannot apply for this if you are a regular student applying independently. You must show official proof that you are part of an organized mobility program. It also allows you to work part-time while you study.
