Eligibility Criteria

  • Sponsored by an eligible child who is an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen, aged 18+, settled and usually resident in Australia
  • Meet the balance-of-family test: at least half of living children are eligible children in Australia, or more eligible children in Australia than in any other single country
  • Meet health and character requirements
  • No prior or current Sponsored Parent (Temporary) subclass 870 visa
  • Repay any debts to Australian government
