Eligibility & Requirements

Eligibility Criteria

  • Under 45 years old when invited
  • IELTS 6.0 or higher in all English sections
  • Job must be on Australia's approved occupations list (212 jobs)
  • Pass official skills assessment for your occupation
  • Score at least 65 points (age, English, experience, education)
  • No serious criminal record or previous visa bans
  • Pass medical examination with no serious untreated diseases
  • Usually 1-2 years paid work experience in your field
  • University degree, diploma, or skilled trade qualification

Financial Requirement

No fixed amount required. Must show money to support yourself and family. Case-by-case assessment. Exception: New Zealand citizens must show AUD $53,900+ annual income for 5 years.
