About this Visa
This visa lets you stay in Australia to look after your child who is studying there. You must be a parent, guardian, or close relative (21+) of a student under 18 with a student visa. You cannot work, but you can study short courses and English lessons. This visa is temporary. It lasts as long as your child's student visa. It does NOT lead to permanent residency or citizenship.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must be the parent, legal guardian, or close relative of the student
- Your child must be under 18 and have a valid student visa
- You must pass health checks
- You must pass character checks (no serious crimes)
- You cannot have broken visa rules before
- You must have money to support yourself
Financial Requirement
You must show $29,710 AUD per year. If your child has a sibling with you: Add $3,152-$13,502 AUD depending on their age. If you have a spouse not traveling: They must earn at least $102,500 AUD per year.
