About this Visa
The Belgium Au Pair Visa (Type D) lets you live with a host family in Belgium for up to one year. It is a cultural exchange program, not a regular job. You help your host family with light housework and childcare in exchange for room, board, and monthly pocket money. This program is for young people (usually ages 18–25) who want to learn a new language and experience Belgian culture. You must have a formal agreement with a host family before you can apply. You do not get full work rights for other jobs.

Eligibility Criteria
- Age 18-25 years old
- Basic knowledge of host family language or agreement to learn
- Unmarried and without children
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No prior work experience in Belgium
- Clean criminal record
- Pass medical examination
