About this Visa

This visa lets foreign parents join their Belgian child who is under 18. You must prove you are the biological or legal parent. The visa is for joining family, not for work or study. You can use this visa if you have a Belgian child living in Belgium. You must travel to Belgium to live with your child. This visa is only for parents of minor Belgian nationals.

  • Not banned from entering Belgium

  • No serious infectious diseases

Financial Requirement

Minimum €2,323 per month net ($2,720 USD). Add 10% more for each additional dependent. Must show stable income for past 12 months.
