About this Visa
This is a Belgian work visa for non-EU people who want to start their own business or work freelance in Belgium. You get a Type D visa paired with a Professional Card that lets you work self-employed legally. Anyone from outside the EU, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, or Switzerland can apply. You need a real business plan and enough money to live on. You can run your own business, work as a freelancer, or be self-employed. You can also bring your spouse and children to live with you. You get to travel anywhere in Europe (Schengen countries) for up to 90 days every 6 months.

- Dutch, French, or German language ability or translated documents

- Cannot work outside approved business type
Financial Requirement
Flanders: €25,575 per year minimum. Brussels: Must prove financial self-sufficiency. Startup capital typically €25,000-€50,000 depending on business type.
