About this Visa
This visa lets you come to Brazil to do research, teach, or work on academic projects. You don't need a regular job. You work with a Brazilian university or research center without being an employee. Researchers, scientists, professors, and postdocs with support from a Brazilian institution can apply. Students studying for a degree are not eligible. You need funding from a scholarship, grant, or savings. You can conduct research, teach classes, and participate in academic work. You can receive payment for travel and daily costs. You cannot get a regular paycheck. You can bring your spouse and children.
