About this Visa

The VITEM IV is Brazil's student visa. You get it to study at a Brazilian university, technical school, or language program. You can stay for up to one year and extend if you're still studying. This visa is for anyone studying in Brazil—undergraduates, graduate students, interns, and language learners. It's only for full-time students at recognized schools. Your visa is only valid at the school that accepted you. If you change schools, you must notify Federal Police. You must register with Federal Police within 90 days of arriving in Brazil.
