Eligibility Criteria
- Sponsor must be 18 or older
- Sponsor must be Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Sponsor must live in Canada or be citizen willing to return
- Sponsor cannot receive social assistance except disability
- Sponsor not in jail, not bankrupt, not under removal order
- Sponsor not in default of past sponsorship undertakings
- Orphaned relative must be brother, sister, nephew, niece, or grandchild by blood or adoption
- Orphaned relative must be under 18 years old
- Orphaned relative must not be married or in common-law relationship
- Both parents of orphaned relative must be dead
- Orphaned relative not cared for by someone else while parent was alive
- Parents must not be just missing or in jail without confirmation of death

You must show enough yearly income to support them. Exact amounts depend on family size. Use tax papers and job letters as proof.
