About this Visa

The ICT work permit lets companies move managers and specialists from their overseas offices to Canada to work. You need to be an executive, manager, or specialist at a company with offices in multiple countries. You come to work for the Canadian branch for 1-7 years. This visa is different because you don't need a job offer application or labor test. Your company just transfers you internally. It's faster than most Canadian work visas. However, as of October 2024, most countries now need to prove their company operates in at least two countries globally. This visa does NOT lead automatically to permanent residency, but after working 1 year in Canada, you can apply for permanent residency through other programs.
