About this Visa

The Atlantic Immigration Program helps mid-level workers move to Canada permanently. You work in one of Canada's four Atlantic provinces (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador, Prince Edward Island). Your employer sponsors you, and you become a permanent resident right away—not a temporary worker. This program is special because it doesn't use a points system like other Canadian programs. You don't need perfect English or years of Canadian work experience. If an Atlantic employer wants to hire you, you can apply.

Key Benefits

  • Work legally for sponsor employer immediately
  • Spouse can work for any Canadian employer
  • Children get free public school K-12
  • Access to provincial healthcare
  • Spouse and children get permanent residency at same time
  • Eligible for Canadian citizenship after 3 years of residence
  • Can change jobs freely after 3 years in Canada
  • Can sponsor parents and other relatives once settled
