About this Visa
The Manitoba Farm Investor Pathway helps experienced farmers move to Canada and start a farm in rural Manitoba. You get permanent residence, a type of immigration status that lets you live in Canada long-term. This is a serious program for real farmers, not for people who just want to invest money without working on the farm. You can legally own and operate a farm in Manitoba. Your spouse and children can come with you. You get to work without needing extra permission from the government. Eventually you can become a Canadian citizen. This is NOT a quick investment visa. You must actually farm the land yourself. You can't hire a manager to do the work. You need real farming experience and a detailed plan for your Manitoba farm.
