About this Visa
Chile's investor visa lets you move to Chile if you invest USD 500,000 in a real business there. You're not buying property to rent—you're starting or buying a business that creates jobs. You get a long-term residency card that lets you work, bring your family, and eventually become a Chilean citizen. This visa is different from tourist or work visas. You don't need a job offer from a company. Instead, you create your own investment. The Chilean government (InvestChile) reviews your business plan to make sure it's real and makes sense for Chile. The main challenge is proving your business idea is solid and your money is real. Most people take 6-8 months to get approved. There are no nationality restrictions—anyone from any country can apply. The program is well-established (started February 2022) and managed by official government agencies.

- Have no criminal record in any country
- Never violated visa laws in any country
- Prove you have USD 500,000 in real money
- Have a real, legal business plan for Chile
- Not be wanted for crimes anywhere
- Have a passport valid for 12+ months
- Prove your money comes from a legitimate source
Financial Requirement
You must invest USD 500,000 in an active business in Chile. This can be starting a new company, buying an existing business, or building a commercial property that generates income. Does not include buying a house to live in, buying a rental property with no active business, or borrowed money. You must show bank statements proving you have the money.
