About this Visa
This is Chile's student visa. It lets you study full-time at a Chilean university or school for up to 2 years. You apply through the government's online system before you travel. What you can do: Study, work part-time (up to 30 hours per week), and stay in Chile for your entire program. If you're a scholarship student, your visa covers your whole scholarship period. Key difference: This is for full-time study only. You cannot come as a tourist and switch to a student visa. You must apply before you arrive in Chile.

Eligibility & Requirements
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Have a high school diploma (for undergraduate) or relevant degree (for graduate)
- Know intermediate Spanish (B1 level) or be enrolled in Spanish classes
- Have a clean criminal record with no serious crimes
- Prove you have sufficient money for tuition and living expenses
- Have a legitimate reason to study in Chile, not immigrate
- Be in good health with no serious infectious diseases
- Have acceptance from an accredited Chilean educational institution
Financial Requirement
Bachelor's degree: $10,000-$29,000 per year. Master's degree: $14,000-$41,000 per year. Plus living expenses: $1,500-$7,000 per year. Show this with bank statements or a sponsorship letter. Scholarship students do not need to prove this.
