About this Visa

This visa lets you live in China for longer than 6 months to be with your Chinese family or relatives. You need a family member already living in China to invite you. This is different from visit visas because you get a residence permit that lets you stay for 1-5 years and renew it as many times as you want. You cannot work on this visa—it's only for being with family. The residence permit allows you to exit and re-enter China freely, open bank accounts, and access healthcare.
