About this Visa
The Colombia volunteer visa lets you do unpaid volunteer work in Colombia for up to 1 year. It's for people who want to help with community projects, environmental work, or humanitarian aid through registered nonprofits and NGOs. You must have a Colombian nonprofit or NGO to sponsor you. They have to prove they can support you financially during your stay. This visa is specifically for volunteers—you cannot work for money. This is a temporary visa. It does not help you move to Colombia permanently or become a citizen later.

Eligibility Criteria

- No serious criminal record
- Suitable experience for volunteer work
- Able to afford living expenses or have organization cover them
- Must have Colombian nonprofit organization to sponsor you
- Good health with no serious diseases preventing work
- Spanish helpful but not required
Financial Requirement
Sponsoring organization must show average bank balance of approximately 191,000,000 Colombian pesos (roughly $50,000 USD) over previous 6 months to cover your living expenses.
