About this Visa
This is a permanent residence permit for self-employed professionals and scientists. Once approved, you get permanent residency—not a temporary visa that expires. Non-EU citizens with specialized qualifications that Cyprus needs can apply. EU citizens cannot use it (they have a different option called Yellow Slip). You can work as self-employed in your field permanently, bring your spouse and children, and stay in Cyprus indefinitely. Unlike other visas, you get permanent residency immediately when approved. You do not need to renew it. After 7 years, you can become a Cypriot citizen.
