About this Visa

This visa lets you live in Germany and work as a self-employed professional. It is best for people in "liberal professions" like doctors, engineers, teachers, writers, artists, and consultants. It is not a traditional digital nomad visa; you must show you help the German economy. You can live in Germany for up to three years and renew your stay if your business goes well. After five years, you can apply for permanent residence or even citizenship. This visa is strict about your clients. You cannot just work remotely for one foreign company. You need to be truly independent with multiple clients.

Eligibility Criteria
