About this Visa
This is a work visa that lets you move to Germany to work as a skilled professional. You need a job offer from a German company and recognized qualifications (college degree or professional training). Once approved, you can live and work in Germany legally. The visa lets you work for your employer and build a life in Germany. Your spouse and children can join you. After a few years, you can become a permanent resident or German citizen. Minimum salary: Skilled professionals $52,500-$54,900/year; Shortage fields (IT, doctors, engineers) $44,400-$49,900/year; Age 45+ $57,400/year. Salary increases January 1, 2026.
