About this Visa
This visa lets you move to Germany and work for yourself. You don't need a job or employer. You can be a freelancer (designer, writer, consultant) or start a business (shop, company, service). Germany offers two types: one for creative and professional work, one for business owners. Both let you live and work there for 3 years. This visa is active and available now. You can work for multiple clients, establish a business, and have full control over your work. No German language requirement for the initial visa. Starting July 1, 2025, rejected applicants cannot file free informal appeals. Your permit limits you to the specific profession listed. After 3 years, this restriction ends.
