About this Visa
This is a work permit for researchers. You need a Master's degree and an invitation from a Danish university or company. You work on a research project but aren't employed by the institution. The permit is for people who fund their own research stay in Denmark. This permit lets you live and work in Denmark for up to 3 years. You can also work side jobs without getting a separate permit. Your spouse and children can come with you if you have enough money to support them. Guest researcher status is non-employment based, meaning you conduct research through an invitation arrangement rather than a salary contract with the host institution.
