About this Visa
This visa is for international students who want to study at a basic or youth education school in Denmark. You cannot be an EU, EEA, or Swiss citizen to need this visa (those people don't need one). You can stay and study for up to 1 year while completing your basic education program. You mostly cannot work in Denmark while studying. However, if your school wants you to get job experience as part of your program, you can ask for special permission to work. You can do unpaid volunteer work without asking for permission. You cannot bring your family members with you—they would need their own visa if they want to come.
