About this Visa
This visa is for retirees who get a regular pension check each month. You need to prove you get at least $1,410 USD from your pension every month. The government gives you this visa so you can live in Ecuador without working. This is NOT for people with jobs or business income. It's ONLY for people getting pensions (from Social Security, retirement funds, or life insurance). The main benefit? You can live, work, and stay in Ecuador legally. You can even run a business if you want. After 21 months, you can get permanent residency—which means no more renewals.

Financial Requirement
