About this Visa

There's no "retirement visa" in Estonia. Instead, retired people use a regular residence permit called "Settling Permanently." You need to have lived in Estonia for at least 3 years first. Once approved, you can stay indefinitely without needing a job. This permit lets you live in Estonia long-term and renew it every 5-10 years. It's designed for people with pensions or savings who want to settle down. After 5 years, you become eligible for permanent residence and eventually citizenship.
