About this Visa

This visa lets non-EU family members move to Spain to be with a relative who already lives there. The person in Spain (called the "sponsor") must have lived there legally for at least one year and have a valid residence permit. You can bring your spouse, children under 26, parents over 65, or other dependents. You get a residence card (called a TIE) that lets you live in Spain for several years. This visa is available to people from ANY country in the world. There are no banned countries or special restrictions based on where you're from.

Eligibility & Requirements

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be 18 or older
  • Not an EU, EEA, or Swiss citizen
  • No serious criminal record
  • Related to sponsor (spouse, child, parent, dependent)
  • Sponsor must have lived in Spain legally for 1+ year with valid residence permit
  • Sponsor must have sufficient income
  • Sponsor must have adequate housing
  • Children under 18, or up to 26 if financially dependent
  • Parents 65 or older (or younger with disability/special circumstances)
  • Spouses any age (18+)

Financial Requirement

One person: €900/month (~$1,060 USD). Add €300/month for each additional family member. Proof required via bank statements, payslips, or tax returns from last 6 months.
