The EU Blue Card is a work visa for highly skilled professionals. You can live and work in Spain with this visa. You need a university degree or 5+ years of job experience in your field. This visa is special because it lets you travel freely across Europe and bring your family immediately. This visa allows you to work without restrictions in Spain. You can change jobs more easily than with other work visas. Your family can come with you and work immediately. You can travel freely across 25 European countries without needing separate visas. After 5 years, you can apply for permanent residence in Spain. After 10 years, you can become a Spanish citizen. The visa is renewable for 2 additional years after your first 3-year period ends.

- Must be non-EU/EEA citizen
- University degree (Bachelor or higher) OR 5+ years work experience
- Valid job offer in Spain for at least 6 months
- Earn minimum required salary (€40,077+)
- No criminal record
- Have health insurance
- Pass background check
- Cannot be asylum seeker
- No immigration violations (overstay, visa fraud)
Financial Requirement
Minimum €40,077 per year ($43,700). Managers: €54,142 per year ($59,000). Under 30: €30,058 per year ($32,800). Employer must confirm salary in job contract.
