About this Visa
This is a residency permit for non-EU family members of Spanish citizens. If you are married to a Spaniard or are their child or parent, you can use this permit to live in Spain. It replaced the old 'Arraigo Familiar' visa in May 2025. This permit gives you the right to live and work in Spain immediately. You do not need to wait for the card to arrive to start a job. You also get full access to public healthcare, just like a Spanish citizen.

Eligibility Criteria
- Be a spouse or registered partner of a Spanish citizen
- Be a child of a Spaniard (under 26 years old)
- Be a parent of a Spaniard (over 80 years old admitted automatically)
- Be a parent under 80 or child over 26 (must prove financial dependence)
- Have no criminal record in the last 5 years
- Must live in Spain with the Spanish family member
Financial Requirement
None for spouse/children under 26. For parents or children over 26, sponsor must show approx. $772/month.
