About this Visa

This visa lets you live in Spain while studying for 6+ months. You get a special ID card that lets you travel across Europe freely. It's easier to get than most visas—about 97% of applications are approved. You can work part-time (up to 30 hours per week) while studying. You can also bring your spouse or children with you. After you graduate, you might be able to stay and work in Spain. This visa is different from a tourist visa. It's designed specifically for serious students with real enrollment at Spanish schools.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Not from EU, Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway
  • Accepted by official Spanish school with acceptance letter
  • No serious criminal record
  • Can show €600 per month in bank savings
  • Good health with no serious contagious diseases
  • Not banned from Spain or Schengen area
  • Age 18+ for most programs (some secondary education has no minimum)
  • No language test required but some programs may require Spanish skills

Financial Requirement

Must show €600 per month ($660 USD). If bringing family: 1st family member add €450/month, each additional family member add €300/month.
