About this Visa
This visa lets you move to Finland to do research work. You need a degree and a job offer from a Finnish research organization. It's one of the easiest ways to get a residence permit in Finland. You can work full-time doing research. You can also do side jobs while researching. Your spouse and kids can move with you and work too. This visa doesn't require you to prove you speak Finnish. You get the same rights as Finnish residents: healthcare, freedom to travel, and a clear path to permanent residency later.

Eligibility Criteria
- Have at least a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Have a research job offer from a Finnish research organization
- Be doing full-time research
- Have enough money (€1,430/month salary or €14,520-€29,040 in savings)
- Have health insurance if not from EU/EEA/Switzerland
- Have a valid passport from your home country
- No serious criminal record or entry ban
- Provide truthful information and genuine documents
Financial Requirement
Option 1: €1,430/month gross salary (€1,685/month USD). Option 2: €14,520 ($17,100) for 1-2 years OR €29,040 ($34,200) for 2+ years in savings. Provide 6 months bank statements.
