About this Visa
This permit lets you live in Finland if you're married to a Finnish citizen. You don't need a job or money. Your spouse doesn't have to prove they can support you. You get unlimited work rights and can travel freely across Europe. After 5 years, you can apply to stay permanently. After 6 years, you can become a Finnish citizen. Same-sex couples, registered partners, and couples living together 2+ years can all apply.

- Must be at least 21 years old
- Your spouse must be a Finnish citizen
- Must be in legal marriage, registered partnership, or 2+ year cohabitation
- No serious criminal convictions

- Authorities check for sham marriages, especially if marriage was very quick or if you had multiple short marriages
