About this Visa

This visa is for a child you adopt from another country to bring to France. It allows the child to enter France and live with you permanently as a legal resident. It acts as their first residence permit. This visa is only the final step of a long process. You must already have official approval to adopt (Agrément) and a court judgment from the child's home country. Be aware that France has stopped adoptions from many countries due to political or safety reasons.
