About this Visa
France offers a volunteer visa for people who want to help non-profit organizations. You live in France for free and work on community, environmental, or social projects. The organization does not pay you money, but they provide housing and meals. Anyone from any country can apply. France has four volunteer programs. The most common for international people is International Solidarity Volunteering (VSI). You can also do Service Civique if you are 16-25 years old. The key rule: you must find an organization and get a signed job contract BEFORE applying for the visa. This visa is special because it is truly open to everyone. There are no banned countries. As long as you have a job contract with an approved organization, you can get it.
