About this Visa
This is a work visa for researchers and scientists who want to work in France. You can stay for up to 4 years doing research, teaching at a university, or collaborating on science projects. The French institution sponsoring you (like a university) handles most of the paperwork, which makes this easier than other work visas. The best part is you get work rights immediately without needing a separate work permit. Your spouse and children can come with you and work in any job they want. This visa was recently renamed from "Passeport Talent" to just "Talent" in June 2025, but everything else stays the same. You need a Master's degree or higher education qualification. You also need a French university or research center to sponsor you before you apply.
Key Benefits
- Work without needing a separate work permit
- Bring spouse and children (they can work in any job)
