About this Visa

This visa lets you move to France to start a business or invest money. You invest €300,000 and create 2+ jobs. In return, you get a residence permit to live and work there for 4 years. Who it's for: People from outside the EU who have capital to invest and want to build a business in France. What it lets you do: Work, start a company, hire employees, bring your family, and eventually become a French citizen.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Are 18 or older
  • Don't have a criminal record - no convictions in France or your home country
  • Can invest €300,000 - real money from a legal source you can prove
  • Have a viable business plan - your idea must make business sense and actually work
  • Can create 2+ jobs - within 4 years, you must hire 2+ full-time employees
  • Have private health insurance - at least €30,000 coverage
  • Are not an EU/EEA/Swiss citizen - this visa is only for people outside these regions
  • Can prove you won't need government help - show you have enough money to live without public benefits
  • You do NOT need to speak French (not required for this visa)
  • You do NOT need specific education or work experience

Financial Requirement

You must invest €300,000 ($353,850 USD) in real business assets. You also need about €21,500/year ($25,400 USD) to show you can pay bills without government help.
