The UK Student Visa lets international students study at UK universities. You can study any type of course—undergraduate, master's, PhD, or short courses. The visa lets you work during your studies. You can work up to 20 hours per week while classes are happening, and full-time during breaks and after you graduate. This visa is the main way international students come to the UK. Eligibility Criteria
- Age 16 or older
- Speak, read, write, and understand English
- Have acceptance from a UKVI-licensed UK university
- Prove financial ability to cover fees and living expenses
- No serious criminal convictions
- TB test if required for your country
- Money held in bank for 28 consecutive days
- Intent to leave UK after studies
- No false or forged documents
Financial Requirement
Show you have money for tuition and living expenses. In London: $2,066/month for up to 9 months. Outside London: $1,582/month for up to 9 months. Money must stay in your bank account for 28 straight days ending no more than 31 days before application. Each dependent needs separate funds: $1,142/month (London) or $919/month (outside London).
