About this Visa

This status allows non-EU citizens to live in Croatia indefinitely. It is for people who have already lived legally in Croatia for 5 continuous years. Once you have this status, you have almost the same rights as a Croatian citizen. It gives you full freedom to work for any company or start your own business without a work permit. You can also access state healthcare and social benefits. Unlike temporary permits, you do not need to renew your reason for staying every year. This is the main path to citizenship. If you hold this status for 3 years (8 years total in Croatia), you can apply to become a Croatian citizen. It is stable, secure, and permanent.
