About this Visa

This is a one-year stay permit for people from outside the EU/EEA. It's for anyone who doesn't fit other visa categories but has enough money to support themselves in Croatia. Unlike work visas, you don't need a job or employer. You just need to prove you have €30-70 per day to spend (or about €460 per month), depending on your housing situation. You cannot work, but you can live here if you can prove you have money to spend. After 5 years of continuous stay, you can apply for permanent residence. After 8 years, you can get Croatian citizenship.

  • Must live in Croatia continuously (max 30 days away at once, 90 days total per year)
  • Must register address within 3 days of arrival
  • Open to all countries (no nationality restrictions)

Financial Requirement

You need €30-70 per day (depending on if you have a rental apartment or own property). For one year: about €10,950 total. Can be proven with bank statements, pension statements, or investment income statements. Someone else can guarantee your costs instead.
