The National Card is a work residence permit for Hungary. It's designed for workers and business owners from 8 specific countries. You get immediate work rights and can bring your family. No special qualifications or education required—just a job or business in Hungary. This visa is simpler and faster than other Hungarian work permits. It expires and renews regularly, so you can stay long-term. After 3 years, you can apply for permanent residency. Key difference: Only available to 8 countries. All other nationalities are banned from applying.

Eligibility & Requirements
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be 18 or older
- Must have a valid job with a Hungarian company OR own a registered Hungarian business
- Must have no criminal record
- Must have €10,000 in savings
- Must pass security screening
- Health insurance required
- No Hungarian language required for permit
Financial Requirement
Must have €10,000 in a bank account. If employed, earn at least €680 per month. If self-employed, earn at least €1,500 per month.
