About this Visa
This visa lets non-European students work as interns in Ireland while studying abroad. You must be enrolled full-time at a university or college outside Ireland. The internship must relate directly to your degree. You can work legally in Ireland for one company for up to 12 months. You earn at least €13.50 per hour (Ireland's minimum wage as of 2025). After your internship ends, you must leave Ireland. This visa doesn't lead to permanent residency. But it's valuable work experience that helps your career.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be 18+ years old
- Full-time student at university/college outside Ireland
- Internship must directly relate to field of study
- University must approve the internship
- Paid position (minimum €13.50/hour)
- Internship role on Highly Skilled Occupations List
- Clean criminal record
- Travel health insurance required before arrival
- Sufficient funds to support yourself in Ireland
Financial Requirement
Show 6 months of bank statements proving sufficient funds to support yourself. Employer must pay at least €13.50/hour (Irish minimum wage).
