About this Visa

This visa lets religious leaders (priests, ministers, rabbis, imams, monks) come to Ireland to work. You need a job offer from a church, mosque, temple, or other faith organization already operating in Ireland. The organization sponsors you and must support you financially. This is a work visa only. It's not a path to permanent residency or citizenship. You can only work for the organization that sponsors you—you cannot change jobs without reapplying from outside Ireland. The visa is currently active and accepting applications.

Key Benefits

  • Work legally for your sponsoring organization
  • Bring your spouse and children (under 18) to live with you
  • Travel outside Ireland and return during your stay
  • Do volunteer work or study if it doesn't interfere with your main job

  • Work permit covers your entire stay (no yearly renewal of work permission)
