About this Visa

This visa lets you live in Italy while working remotely for a company or clients outside Italy. You don't need to work for an Italian employer. It's designed for freelancers, remote employees, and digital entrepreneurs who earn stable income from abroad. The visa is easy to get compared to other Italian work visas. You don't need special work permission (called a "Nulla Osta") that takes 6+ months. There's no limit on how many people can get this visa—it's always open. This visa gives you a clear path to stay in Italy permanently. After 5 years, you can become a permanent resident. After 10 years, you can become an Italian citizen.
