About this Visa
Italy's Type D student visa lets you study at Italian universities or language schools for longer than 3 months. You can enroll in degree programs, master's courses, or language training. This visa is for anyone from outside the EU who wants to study in Italy. The visa gives you permission to live and study in Italy for up to one year (or longer if your course is longer). You can work part-time while studying. After you finish, you can stay and work or apply for permanent residency. No countries are banned—everyone is welcome to apply.

- No age limit (minors need parents' permission)
- Completed at least 12 years of school
- English IELTS 6.0 OR Italian B2 level if required by program
- Prove you have $551 per month
- No serious criminal record or deportations
- No previous immigration violations or overstays
- No serious illnesses that would prevent studying
- Demonstrate genuine intent to study
Financial Requirement
You must prove you have $551 per month (or $7,162 per year). Show your bank statements from the last 6 months. If your parents support you, provide their bank statements too.
