About this Visa
This visa lets your spouse and children live with you in Japan while you work or study. You can only use this visa if you already have certain jobs in Japan (like engineer, teacher, or student). Your family stays with you and can go to school or work part-time. They must depend on your money to live.

Eligibility & Requirements
Eligibility Criteria
- Must have legal marriage certificate (same-sex spouses not eligible)
- Must hold specific work visa types (engineer, teacher, business manager, researcher, student, etc.)
- Must earn sufficient income to support family
- No criminal record
- No previous overstay or unauthorized work in Japan
- Current visa must remain valid
- Family member must be legally married spouse or child
- Family member must depend on you financially
- Family member must have no serious health issues
- Family member must have no criminal record
Financial Requirement
No fixed legal minimum. Guidelines: Spouse only ¥2.5 million/year (~$16,000 USD). Spouse + 1 child ¥2.8 million/year (~$18,000 USD). Spouse + 2 children ¥3.2 million/year (~$20,600 USD). Family member cannot earn equal to or more than sponsor.
