About this Visa

This visa allows you to visit Japan specifically to receive medical treatment. You can use it for surgeries, recovery, health check-ups, dental work, or even hot spring therapy. It is different from a tourist visa because it lets you bring an attendant who is not a family member. You must pay for all medical costs yourself, as you will not have Japanese health insurance.

Key Benefits

  • Access Japanese healthcare for any type of treatment
  • Bring a friend, nurse, or family member as your attendant
  • Return to Japan multiple times if your treatment requires follow-ups
