About this Visa

This visa is for employees that foreign companies send to work at their Korean branches. Your company in your home country sends you to manage, lead, or do specialized work in Korea. It's designed for executives, managers, and technical experts who bring specific skills that the Korean office needs. You can work full-time in your assigned role. Your family can come with you (though following new rules). This is different from regular work visas because your employer handles most of the visa application—you don't compete through a points system. If you bring your family, your spouse and children must now apply at the Korean embassy in your home country—they can't apply while in Korea. Your family also needs to show they have enough money to support themselves.

Key Benefits

  • Work full-time in your assigned job
  • Travel outside Korea without special permits
  • Spouse and children can live in Korea with you
  • Parents can visit/stay if you earn enough
  • Healthcare through Korea's national insurance system
  • After 5 years, apply for permanent residency
