About this Visa

The EU Blue Card is a work permit for highly skilled professionals from outside Europe. It lets you live and work in Lithuania permanently while you have a job. You can bring your spouse and children with you. It's one of the easiest ways to move to Europe if you have a good education and job offer. This visa is special because you bypass the work permit quota that makes it almost impossible for other workers to get jobs in Lithuania. Blue Card applicants are exempt—you can apply whenever you want, regardless of how many other workers are already approved. You also get permanent residence faster than most immigrants (5 years instead of 8-10 years). STATUS: ACTIVE - You can apply right now. Lithuania is actively accepting Blue Card applications in December 2024 and will continue in 2025.
