About this Visa

This is a work visa for people who want to train or intern in Latvia. It's for students who need an internship as part of school, or recent graduates (within 2 years of finishing college) who want to gain work experience. You can legally work and live in Latvia during your training. You can also travel freely within Europe (other EU countries). Your family can come with you. This visa is easier to get than regular work visas. Latvia has one of the lowest rejection rates in Europe. Training counts toward getting permanent residence (5 years) or citizenship (10 years) later.
